Pair your meal with a carefully curated selection of drinks—from the signature Bloody Mary and Nuturl Watermelon Vodka Seltzer to quintessential bar favorites like Jameson, Michelob Ultra, PBR, and Summer Ale. These refreshing beverages perfectly complement the hearty, flavorful dishes and elevate the overall experience.
Customers often praise Nemo’s for its genuine hospitality and the warm, homey feel of the place. As one diner noted, “The history of the building and the staff were really great,” underscoring the deep roots Nemo’s holds in the community. Fans of live music often find themselves enchanted by excellent local bands like Just JoeKen, who add an extra layer of vibrant energy to the evenings here.
Though the service pace might require a little patience—especially if you’re not yet a regular—it adds to the authentic neighborhood bar vibe, where personal connection and familiarity matter more than quick turnover. It’s that very unpolished charm that keeps guests coming back, drawn in by the genuine people, the inviting atmosphere, and the satisfying, soulful food.
At Nemo’s Bar, every bite is an invitation to savor a slice of Detroit’s storied past and lively present. Whether you’re craving a perfectly grilled burger slathered in melty cheese, a bowl of rich seafood bisque, or simply a cold beer while watching the game, Nemo’s delivers on flavor, fellowship, and the kind of comfort only a true local haunt can provide.
Burger was good. The chili was great. The history of the building and the staff were really great.
Came here to see a live band. The band was excellent (Just Joe-Ken) and the kitchen was only serving burgers so I had one and it was great. I would definitely come back when the kitchen re-opens. It took a long time to get someone to serve us even a drink, just because I wasn't standing exactly where they would see me for a drink?! Unless you're a regular, no one would know 'where to get a drink'. So we day at a table and waited for a staff member to notice us! Strange set up. But a cool little bar. I'll go back.
I found this place on a date nite with a FRIEND, it's everything a single person could want in a bar. Nice atmosphere, no douchy men/women hitting on you. Every one knows every one, it was almost like Cheers. Went back by myself just to enjoy the crowd. Will definitely visit again.

nice place, home vibes, food was a little heavy, meaning that my burps werent so tasty. But they were so nice. Also loved that I was watching the NBA playoffs and the stanley cup playoffs at the same time
Excellent food! Menu is just right, enough variety and not overdone The service was quick and friendly, greeted as soon as you open the door! I’ve had their burgers before and they are fresh, thick and juicy! Today I had the pleasure of enjoying the fish! Perfectly cooked! I’m definitely coming back

I always pay. but deep down I believe they owe me hundreds of dollars worth of beer. but I still pay because I love this bar. fries need salt.
